’60 Minutes with Hong Hyun-seok’ Belgian professional football Gent beat Stendare 3-1

Hong Hyun-seok played 60 minutes of Belgian professional football as Gent defeated Stendard in the final of the Jupiler League European Playoffs.

Gent defeated Stendard 3-1 at home in the sixth round of the Belgian Jupiler League European Playoffs for the 2022-2023 season at the Gelamco Arena in Ghent, Belgium, on 4 April.

With the victory, Ghent took three points from a dominant performance of five wins and one draw in six European play-off matches to finish the European play-offs with a final tally of 44 points (1st place).

After finishing fifth in the regular season, Hent will top the European play-offs and play the bottom team in the Champions Play-offs for the second qualifying spot in the UECL.

With each team having one game in hand in the Champions Playoffs, Kluip Brugge (33 points) are eight points behind third-placed Rassingen (45 points) in the table.

Hong Hyun-seok, who started at left midfield in a 4-4-2 formation, played the full 60 minutes until he was replaced by Andrew Ulsager in the 15th minute of the second half.

Hong Hyun-seok drove the ball directly into the goal area from the left side of the penalty area in the 38th minute, dodged two defenders and shot with his left foot, but the ball was blocked by the keeper’s outstretched left foot.

Kuipers equalised with his left foot in the 23rd minute and doubled the lead with a header in the 43rd minute. He completed his hat-trick with a penalty in the 34th minute.
