“I’m back” Embiid, PO Game 2 starter

Joel Embiid (29) returns.

Embiid was named to the starting list for Game 2 of the NBA Eastern Conference Playoffs, which will be held at TD Garden, the home stadium of the Boston Celtics (hereafter referred to as Boston), on the 4th at 9:00 am (Korean time).

Embiid missed Game 4 of the first round of the playoffs due to a knee injury. In Game 3 against the Brooklyn Nets, Embiid was tripped by an opposing player. He was limping when he got up, but he got through the rest of the game. Philadelphia diagnosed Embiid’s injury as LCL (lateral collateral ligament) and removed him from the roster in Game 4 and Game 1 of the second round of the playoffs.

Earlier, Philadelphia produced a surprise victory at TD Garden, 119-115, by 4 points without Embiid. Embiid returns 13 days after returning from injury. He won’t be in 100% form by coming back pretty early, but just having Embiid on the court will be a big help for Philadelphia.
