Track and field legend Lim Chun-ae unveiled for the first time in two years…a welcome sight

Asian Games women’s athletics gold medalist Lim Chun-ae (54) attended her first official event in 551 days (1 year, 6 months, 4 days).

The Gwangmyeong 먹튀검증 Sports Complex in Gyeonggi-do, Gyeonggi-do, hosted the 2023 Korea National Sports Promotion Organization Chairman’s Regatta on Friday. Lim Chun-ae served as master of ceremonies and presenter of the final race.

This is the first time the 1986 Seoul Asian Games champion has made a public appearance since her appointment as head of the Ansan Youth Foundation. She will serve until December 2023.

Lim won the 800-1500-3000 meters at the Seoul Asian Games. She is the first and still the last Korean track and field triple winner at an Asian Games.

South Korean public broadcaster KBS co-produced an animated movie, “Arisubyeon Dreamer,” with Lim as the main character, in collaboration with France’s Créditivité d’édéveloppement, which aired two months before the Seoul Olympics.
